We’d wager that most TV fans simply skip past the opening theme song of any show on the air; straight up yawn fest. But the credits to the wildly popular sitcom featuring a formerly wealthy and habitually dysfunctional family really tell you everything you need to know about this beloved cult classic.
We are welcomed into the insanely wacky world of the family’s recent downfall due to their patriarch’s thievery. This show follows all nine family members as they grow accustomed to their new life ballin’ on a budget.
This show features one of the best ensemble casts (next to our favorite tv friend group who spend way too much time chillaxin’ on TV’s most iconiccouch). This undeniably funny series is, without a doubt, among the modern greats in sitcom history.
However, just like #HotGirlSummer and Myspace, all good things must come to an end (OK, maybe not hot girl summer; that’s an all-year-round thing, right?), which is why the cult comedy was axed only after three seasons.
We know - total heartbreak, right? But cheer up buttercup, the uber-passionate, borderline-obsessed, die-hard fans werenot OK with this decision (obvi), which eventually led to a reboot of the sitcom almost seven years later. Even though this show was originally canceled, destined to never see the light of day again, it still managed to make it back to the TV screen (and in our hearts).
It goes without saying that this is one sitcom you definitely want to watch. Between the hilarious antics ofThe Amazing Gob,Gene Parmesan, andTobias Fünke M.D. Analrapist and our favorite hardworking, self-sacrificing family man’s continuous efforts to keep everyone’s head - and the business - above water, it’s a no-brainer why the sitcom was revived.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, stop what you’re doing and go watch it. Seriously! And once you’ve binged all five seasons, head on over toFamous In Real Life, where you’ll find a huge inventory of apparel to rep the beloved sitcom.
Oh, you’re running low on cash? Don’t worry, just hit upthat banana stand for money.
